How HELIPOTT Works

The agitator

The heart of every HELIPOTT beats: a stirrer made of high-quality stainless steel.

It is responsible for mixing excreted solids with dry substrate (we recommend only unfertilized coconut substrate).

By immediately mixing the solids with the substrate, almost no odors can be produced.


The separation

A comfortable separating attachment ensures that solid and liquid waste ends up where it should:

The solid in the agitator, the liquid in the urine canister.


To completely eliminate the odor, our exhaust kit can be installed, which carries the "dirty air" outside.

An odor trap on the urine canister ensures that there is no smell here either.



Fill it up once please!

Fill the agitator with coconut substrate, insert the canister and you're ready to go!

In the model E-Drive When you close the lid everything happens fully automatically.

The model Easy (available soon) is operated manually using a hand crank attached to the front.


And the best thing: one filling with coconut substrate is enough for 20-30 uses! During this time you do not need to refill the substrate.


The end result is a soil-like mass that has the look, smell and texture of natural soil. When not in use, the toilet pauses and behaves like soil in a flower pot for weeks or even months. You will then know when the mass is exhausted, it will form clumps and should be replaced with fresh coco substrate.

    SMART DETAILS

    hinges with adjustable friction

    Each HELIPOTT is equipped with robust stainless steel hinges with adjustable friction. This allows the resistance when moving the lid to be adjusted.


    exhaust air system

    The installation of an exhaust air kit is optional and can be installed or retrofitted on our HELIPOTT models. The kit can be installed in 3 different places (left, right or rear) - depending on the installation situation. The fan is included as standard with E-Drive.


    odor trap for the urine canister

    A separate lid with an odor trap and ventilation openings can be ordered for the urine canister, which is screwed onto the canister during use. This allows liquids to enter the canister, but no odors to escape to the outside.

    If things get really bumpy, you can upgrade your HELIPOTT with our optional off-road package.

    What else do you need?


    The coconut substrate is available in our shop in compact brick form. Once dissolved, 8 liters of loose substrate (sizes S M) are enough for around 25-30 uses. Make sure to dissolve the brick as dry as possible. With the 8-liter brick, you can achieve this with around 0.6 liters of water. You can use the bag in which the substrate is dissolved again and again.


    Our plastic scraper makes emptying easier. You can use it to loosen the earth-like mass and remove any buildup.


    The Helipott M and L contain a 10-litre canister for urine and an odour trap. The built-in sensor in the E-Drive reports when the canister needs to be emptied.

    DIE HELIPOTT STORY

    What do you do if none of the toilet systems available on the market meet your needs? For the design team Peter and Christine Philipp, developers of HELIPOTT and passionate campers and sailors with families, the answer was clear: develop something suitable themselves. With over 30 years of experience in special machine construction, they drove the development of what is probably the most advanced compact toilet with passion and heart and soul.


    What began as a game ended up being a mammoth project that could only be successful with the support of long-standing, experienced partners.


    It was particularly important that the new toilet was user-friendly, environmentally friendly, absolutely safe and fully automatic. This makes it easy to use and operating errors are a thing of the past. The development up to series production took more than three years and consumed more time and resources than previously expected. Many hurdles had to be overcome. HELIPOTT is not only the first toilet of its kind, but also the first to be manufactured according to industrial standards. Built in our Swabian factory - for the highest demands and incomparable quality - MADE IN GERMANY.
